Patch's evolved from a community market enterprise at the former Elphin Showgrounds.
When the Showgrounds were sold to make way for their new home at Inveresk,Patch developed an undercover market for stall holders in the Launceston CBD at Earl Street.
Later this was relocated to the Ludbrooks Arcade,then the Quadrant.The stall holders left and space was occupied by Patch as a single business selling discount goods and end of line commodities.
Today Patch's are located in several Launceston suburbs.
A feature of Patch's is the friendly,personal service.
